Increasing the Export Capacity of Samsun Food Sector Project” was prepared based on the 2010/8 Declaration of the Ministry of Economy project of The Development Of International Competitiveness Project (UR-GE) within the framework of Clustering and project approach, in the leadership of Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and it was presented to Minitry of Economy, and granted by the ministry in 15 July 2014. The main activities of the projects that supported by the Ministry of Economy, covers various training programs, such as, Foreign Trade Education Program, Professional Management Education, and Strategic Management Education, participation in İnternational Exhibition, visiting within the framework of the cluster topic clusters visit, procurement commitees from the markets that identified as target markets.

Samsun Food Cluster is a young and dynamic cluster. It aims to increase its power in domestic and international markets in accordance with the current hygiene and food safety standarts in a wide variety uf pructs mainly dairy products, confectionery, halva, dried nuts, dry legumes etc.
Under the leadership of Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the support of The Ministry of Economy, Samsun Food Cluster has been formed with over 20 companies.
